Custom Software Development Services

We design, build, integrate, test, and support custom web applications, mobile applications, internal tools, APIs, and connected-product platforms.

Challenges We Solve

We help organizations replace, modernize, integrate, and extend software that supports customer and operational workflows.

  • Legacy Software That Is Difficult to Change

We assess architecture, dependencies, test coverage, security, and infrastructure before recommending targeted remediation, modernization, or replacement.

  • Limited Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

We document architecture, deployment, operating procedures, and significant technical decisions throughout development.

  • Off-the-Shelf Software That Does Not Fit the Workflow

Custom applications can support business-specific processes, data, integrations, permissions, and reporting requirements.

  • Poor Application Performance

We measure application performance on representative devices, networks, data volumes, and user workflows.

  • Manual and Unreliable Deployments

Automated build, test, deployment, monitoring, and rollback processes reduce operational risk and dependence on individual developers.

Benefits of Custom Software Development

Custom software can improve workflow fit, system ownership, maintainability, integration, and application performance.

  • Client-Owned Source Code

Source code is maintained in a repository under the client's organization and delivered with technical documentation.

  • Regular Working Releases

Development is organized into reviewable increments so stakeholders can evaluate progress and requirements throughout the project.

  • Measured Performance

Performance requirements are tested against representative devices, connections, workloads, and data volumes.

  • Reliable Change Management

Automated tests and continuous integration help identify regressions before changes reach production.

  • Client-Controlled Infrastructure

Cloud resources, deployment configuration, domains, and production credentials remain under client control.

  • Integrated Product Design and Engineering

User experience, interface design, architecture, and implementation are developed through one coordinated process.

How We Work

The development process covers requirements, product and technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and handover.

  1. Concept and Discovery

Define business goals, user needs, workflows, integrations, security requirements, technical constraints, delivery priorities, and acceptance criteria.

  2. Design and Prototyping

Develop workflow diagrams, wireframes, interface designs, prototypes, architecture decisions, and a prioritized delivery plan for review before implementation.

  3. Development and Iteration

Build the software in reviewable increments with source control, automated testing, continuous integration, stakeholder demonstrations, and documented decisions.

  4. Testing and Handover

Complete functional, integration, performance, security, and accessibility testing as applicable, then transfer source code, infrastructure, documentation, and operating procedures.

Software Applications

We develop customer-facing products, internal systems, data platforms, integrations, mobile applications, and connected-product software. Applied AI requirements are handled with our AI Solutions team.

  • Customer Portals and Web Applications

Secure account access, billing, document management, workflow automation, reporting, and customer self-service.

  • Internal Tools and Operations Systems

Scheduling, dispatch, inventory, quoting, approvals, data entry, and other business-specific operational workflows.

  • Mobile Applications

Native and cross-platform mobile applications selected according to device integration, performance, platform, and maintenance requirements.

  • Data and Reporting Platforms

Data ingestion, transformation, storage, analysis, dashboards, exports, and role-based access to business information.

  • Systems Integration

APIs, legacy databases, enterprise platforms, partner systems, file exchanges, identity providers, and third-party services.

  • Legacy Application Modernization

Technical assessment, test coverage, architecture improvements, infrastructure upgrades, staged migration, and system handover.

Why Work With Us

Our delivery model is based on client ownership, documented handover, integrated product design, and direct technical accountability.

  • Documented Handover

Handover includes source code, infrastructure definitions, deployment procedures, operating documentation, and training for the receiving team.

  • Development in Client Accounts

Repositories, cloud infrastructure, domains, analytics, and production credentials are established under the client's organization.

  • Product Design and Engineering

Product planning, user experience, interface design, system architecture, and development are coordinated within the same team.

  • Technology Selected for the Requirement

Recommendations are based on product, workflow, integration, security, performance, and maintenance requirements rather than a fixed technology stack.

Software Engagement Models

Engagements are structured as a technical audit, a milestone-based product build, or embedded engineering support.

Technical Audit

Fixed fee, one to two weeks

Assessment of the codebase, architecture, dependencies, security, test coverage, infrastructure, deployment process, and documentation, with findings ranked by risk and recommended action.

Best before acquiring, inheriting, modernizing, or expanding an existing system.

Product Build

Milestone-based, typically three to eight months

Product planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and handover managed through defined milestones and reviewable releases.

Best for a new product, application, platform, or substantial modernization program.

Embedded Team

Monthly, ongoing

Software engineers or product specialists work within the client's existing delivery process, repository, planning tools, and technical standards.

Best for teams that need additional delivery capacity or specialized expertise.

Common Questions

Mostly about who owns what, how we fit alongside your own team, and what happens once it's live.

Will we be locked in to you?

The engagement is structured to support client ownership. Source code is maintained in the client's repository, infrastructure is established in client-controlled accounts, and handover includes deployment procedures, documentation, and training for the receiving team.

Can you work with our existing team?

Yes. We can work within an existing repository, backlog, review process, architecture, and delivery cadence. Responsibilities, decision rights, communication, and handover requirements are defined at the beginning of the engagement.

What happens after launch?

Post-launch support can include monitoring, incident response, dependency and security updates, performance maintenance, and planned improvements. The support scope, response times, and term are defined separately from the development project.

Do you build the hardware too?

Yes. Our hardware team can develop the electronics, firmware, enclosure, prototypes, and manufacturing documentation for connected products. See Hardware Design.
